Aaron Kuzik joined Rolfe, Benson LLP in 2000 as an articling student and received his Chartered Accountant designation in 2004. He has completed parts I and II of the CICA In-Depth Tax Program. Aaron’s areas of focus include providing accounting, tax, estate planning and business advisory services for privately held companies, corporate groups and not-for-profit entities. Aaron has a hands-on approach with all his clients and provides value through implementing practical solutions. Aaron is a life-long North Shore resident. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife Heidi and their two daughters. Their active lifestyle keeps them busy cheering at soccer games or riding and hiking the trails of the North Shore.

Todd Lilley received his Certified General Accountants designation in 1988 and his Chartered Accountant designation in 1990 and joined Rolfe, Benson LLP in 2004. Todd’s area of practice include business advisory services, audit, tax and related services to small to medium size owner managed businesses as well as not-for-profit organizations with significant experience in real estate enterprises, wholesale and distribution, the hospitality industry and retail. Todd also provides professional training for CPA students within the firm. When not in the office Todd enjoys spending time away with his family.

James Ma joined Rolfe Benson LLP in 2010 and received his Chartered Accountant designation in 2012. James’ area of practice includes providing accounting, tax and advisory services to private small to mid-sized businesses and not-for-profit organizations. James has a broad experience in a number of industries including real estate, wholesale and distribution, manufacturing, professionals, and retail. He also works closely with the firm’s tax group with respect to Canadian resident and non-resident income tax compliance filings. Outside of the office, you may find James golfing, travelling, spending time with his family and dog.

Grace Madrazo received her Certified General Accountant designation in 2006 and joined Rolfe Benson LLP in 2009. Grace’s area of practice includes providing accounting and tax services to small to medium sized private businesses and to not-for-profit organizations. Grace is also involved with staff training and supervision of staff. When not at the office, you may find Grace playing volleyball, practicing yoga or enjoying the outdoors.

Kate Prusova joined Rolfe Benson LLP in 2001 and received her Certified General Accountant designation in 2002. Kate provides accounting, assurance, tax, estate planning and advisory services to a wide range of owner-managed businesses and their shareholders as well as to not-for-profit organizations. Kate has extensive experience in diverse sectors including retail and service industries, professional services, holding companies, NPO’s and real estate. Kate has over 20 years of experience and is passionate about delivering value-added professional services to her clients. Kate focuses on building trusted relationships which allows her to better understand and advise clients and their businesses. When not advising clients, Kate enjoys hiking, travelling, woodworking, photography and spending time with her family.

Chris’ areas of practice includes providing accounting, tax and advisory services to small to medium sized private businesses in a number of industries including professionals, investment, construction, retail, and manufacturing. Chris also provides consulting and tax planning services to high net worth individuals and owner-managed businesses. Outside of work, Chris enjoys spending time with his family, travelling and playing basketball.

Andrew joined Rolfe Benson LLP in 2005 as a student and received his Chartered Accountant designation in 2008. Andrew’s areas of practice includes assurance, accounting, tax and advisory services to small to medium sized private businesses and not-for-profit organizations. Andrew is experienced in a number of industries including high-tech, manufacturing, distribution, recycling, education, real estate, health care and the charitable sector. In addition, Andrew is closely involved in the development and mentorship of the firm’s CPA students. When not in the office Andrew can often be found mountain biking, playing guitar or spending time with his family.

Susan Tufts has been with Rolfe Benson LLP since 1979 and has been a Principal since 2016. Susan’s area of practice primarily includes incorporated professionals, investment holding companies, owner-managed businesses, not-for-profit organizations, personal taxation and payroll services. Susan is involved in the training and supervision of staff. When not at Rolfe Benson LLP, Susan enjoys travelling and spending time with her four sons.

Rebecca Lem received her Chartered Accountant designation in 1989 and joined Rolfe Benson LLP in 2002. Rebecca has significant experience with clients in the distribution, manufacturing, real estate, technology, and professional services sectors as well as clients in the not-for-profit sector. Rebecca’s other activities have included various directorship roles on not-for-profit organization boards. Rebecca is also an avid golfer.

Tim Saxvik joined Rolfe Benson LLP in 1987 and received his Chartered Accountant designation in 1990. Tim has extensive experience in a broad range of industries including real estate investment and development, professional services, retail and hospitality and technology. Tim also provides consulting and tax planning services for high net worth individuals and owner managed businesses. Tim is an active boater in the summer and avid skier in the winter.

Robert Watts joined Rolfe Benson LLP in 1987 and obtained his Chartered Accountant designation in 1990 and his Fellow of Chartered Accountancy in 2015. Rob worked in the corporate finance department of our previous affiliate office in London, England and has extensive experience in all areas of public practice including estate planning, services, technology, manufacturing, distribution and not-for-profit organizations. Rob Watts was elected managing partner in 2001 and transitioned that position to Aaron Kuzik on 1 January 2024. Rob’s hobbies includes travelling, boating and spending time at his cottage on Pender Island.

Audrey Chan joined Rolfe Benson LLP in January 2024, bringing many years' experience specializing in Canadian tax services and focusing on providing tax compliance and planning services to a variety of industries. Audrey received her Chartered Accountant designation in 2014 and completed the CPA In-Depth Tax Program (2014-2016). She obtained her MBA degree from Queen’s University (2022) and is currently enrolled in the STEP Canada Diploma in Trusts and Estates. Audrey has a passion for tax research (most recently contributing to a 2024 BC Canadian Tax Foundation Conference article and co-presenting in an AGN webinar) and is dedicated to providing high quality client service in a timely manner. Audrey enjoys travelling, reading, staying active, and is always searching for new hobbies.

Heidi joined Rolfe Benson LLP in 2020 as a CPA student and received her Chartered Professional Accountant designation in 2024. Heidi specializes in providing accounting, assurance and tax services to small and medium sized private businesses and not-for-profit organizations. Outside of work, Heidi enjoys spending time with her family, watching movies and travelling.

Dustin Gillis joined Rolfe Benson LLP in 2024 as a manager and received his Chartered Professional Accountant designation in 2022. Dustin focuses on providing accounting and tax services to small and medium businesses. In his spare time, Dustin can often be found on one of the North Shore mountains either biking, hiking, or skiing depending on the time of the year.

Heidi Mathena joined Rolfe Benson LLP as Workplace Manager in June 2023. With over 25 years of experience in the professional services and consulting industry, Heidi brings a broad range of expertise in all administrative functions of the business. Heidi holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of British Columbia and a Certificate in Business Management and Human Resource Management from the British Columbia Institute of Technology. Outside of work, she enjoys travelling to new destinations and long road trips with her family.

Jordan McLean joined Rolfe Benson LLP as Human Resources Manager in July 2019. As HR Director, Jordan specializes in the areas of employee relations, engagement, talent management, health and safety and learning and development. Jordan holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Certificate in Business Administration from the University of Victoria, and attained her Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation in 2012. When not at the office she enjoys spending time with her family, travelling, skiing and spending many hours on the softball field.

Cesar received his Certified General Accountant’s designation in 2015 and joined Rolfe Benson in 2022. With over 15 years of experience, Cesar’s areas of expertise are providing accounting and tax services to small and medium size businesses across multiple industries such as real estate, professional services, investments, manufacturing, retail, hospitality, and technology amongst others. Cesar also provides advisory/planning services to entrepreneurs/owner-managed businesses. In his spare time, Cesar likes spending time with his wife and two daughters as well as watching soccer matches from LaLiga/Premier League. On Saturday mornings Cesar can be found at his daughter Hailey’s soccer match cheering her on.

David Noort joined Rolfe Benson LLP in 2019 as a CPA Student. He received his Chartered Professional Accountant designation in 2022 and is currently enrolled in the CICA In-Depth Tax Program. David’s areas of practice include tax and estate planning, compliance and advisory services for small and medium sized business and not-for-profit organizations and non-resident income tax compliance filings. He works across various industries including real estate, construction, technology, professional services and retail. When he gets a chance to step away from his computer, David enjoys escaping to the local mountains for hiking and camping.

Nick joined Rolfe Benson LLP in 2021 and received his Chartered Professional Accountant designation in 2024. Nick specializes in providing accounting, assurance and tax-related services for small and medium-sized private businesses and not-for-profit organizations. In his spare time, you can find Nick out on the rugby pitch, spending time with friends and family or travelling.

Jade has been with Rolfe, Benson LLP since 2012 and received her Chartered Professional Accountant designation in 2023. With over 15 years of experience in public practice, Jade has a broad range of knowledge and expertise to service her clients. Jade specializes in providing accounting and tax services to small and medium-sized private businesses. She is passionate about teaching, training, and working alongside new articling students, and she plays a large role in onboarding new accounting staff. Outside of work, Jade enjoys cooking, travelling and exploring new cultures through cuisine with her husband and son.

Sam Routledge joined Rolfe Benson LLP in 2022 as a CPA student. Sam specializes in providing tax and estate planning, compliance, and advisory services to individuals and small and medium-sized private businesses. In his spare time, Sam enjoys hiking or mountain biking on the North Shore mountains, playing hockey, and travelling.

Gurman Sara received her Chartered Accountant designation in 2014 and joined Rolfe Benson LLP in January 2019. Gurman has a broad range of experience in providing assurance and accounting services for clients of all sizes. Her industry experience includes real estate, manufacturing, retail, technology and not-for-profit. When not at the office, she enjoys spending time with her family, which includes two young daughters.

Irina graduated from Simon Fraser University with Bachelor of Business Administration, Accounting major in 2007 and subsequently obtained her CA designation. Prior to joining Rolfe Benson, she worked at national and mid-size accounting firms across Canada specializing in audit and review engagements. Irina is inspired to help businesses to achieve both short and long term objectives and is motivated by her clients’ success. In her spare time, Irina enjoys learning new piano masterpieces and loves exploring the forest with her children and family dog, Lord Stanley.

Lynsey Sturgeon joined Rolfe Benson LLP in 2019 as a CPA student and received her Chartered Professional Accountant designation in 2022. Lynsey’s areas of practice include providing accounting, assurance and tax services to small to medium-sized private businesses and not-for-profit organizations. Outside of work, Lynsey enjoys pottery, bird watching, travelling and being outdoors.

Annie Washington joined Rolfe Benson in 2021 and earned her CPA designation in 2024. Annie provides services in assurance, accounting, and tax. In her role, Annie specializes in serving small and medium-sized private businesses and not-for-profit organizations. Annie is committed to delivering clear, proactive guidance to help clients navigate their financial reporting and tax needs with confidence. In her free time, Annie enjoys reading, spending time outdoors, and taking dance classes.

Michael Watts received his Chartered Professional Accountant designation in 2022, and joined Rolfe Benson LLP in 2023 after gaining valuable experience working in Toronto. Michael focuses on providing accounting, assurance, and tax services for small to medium-sized businesses in addition to not-for-profits. Outside of his professional work, Michael is an avid adventurer, with a passion for boating around the Gulf Islands and scuba diving.

Bill joined Rolfe Benson LLP in 2017 and received his Chartered Professional Accountant designation in 2020. Bill specializes in providing accounting, assurance and tax services to small and medium sized organizations. He serves clients across multiple industries including charitable organizations, foundations, wholesale and retail trades, tech companies and service industries. Outside of work, Bill enjoys spending time with his family, travelling and hiking.
